How do games and gaming operate in culture and society today? And how can the forms of gameplay be elaborated as spaces for critique? This third occasion of Immersive Days aims to contribute to the understanding of these issues.

Opening hours: 22–24, 26–27 November 2023 (closed on Saturday)

How do games and gaming operate in culture and society today? And how can the forms of gameplay be elaborated as spaces for critique? This third occasion of Immersive Days aims to contribute to the understanding of these issues. Taking departure in artistic practice-based projects that reflect on the cognitive mechanisms within media ecologies, the entanglement between physical and virtual realm, we will also explore how new rules and expanded forms of agency can emerge through gameplay that invite interconnectivity and mutualism.

The programme includes an exhibition part that is open for five days with video, virtual and augmented reality installations and a multi-channel audio installation at IAC. During the opening day you are also invited to participatory performances and a concert.

Immersive Days #3 is organized in collaboration with the Division of Game Development at University of Skövde.
