Navigating Nuances: Insights into Human-Robot Interaction Dynamics by Samantha Stedtler
Samantha Stedtler, PhD student in Cognitive Science at the LUCS Robotics Group, Lund University, will explore different aspects that are important for the social part in human-robot interaction (HRI). She will discuss timing, speech, and genderedness, providing an overview of factors influencing perceived social agency, trust, and the attribution of blame in interactions with robots. For this, Samantha will draw on her own work and others research findings. Lastly, she will discuss what implications these results might have and which responsibilities they might leave us with from an ethical perspective.
The lecture is part of “1,2,3 Playtime. A lecture and workshop series in the field of gamification” organised by Inter Arts Center and financed by Region Skåne.
